This month I have been studying Job and working on forgiveness of others as well as myself.in Job 11:13-19 it says,
" as for you, if you redirect your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer, if there is an equity in your hand remove it, and don't allow injustice to dwell in your tents, then you will hold your head high free from fault. You will be firmly established in unafraid. For you will forget your suffering recalling it only as waters that it flowed by. Your life will be brighter than noon day it's darkness will be like morning. You'll be confident because there is hope. You will look carefully about in laydown and safety. You will lie down without fear and Many will seek your favor. "
Wow! Just wow! Our sufferings are but water passing by and just as they come they will go and the light, it is coming. These past couple months I have been in darkness more than the light and so this resonated with me.
One of the things I have been working on is forgiveness letters to those who have hurt me deeply and then I will be burning them this week. Not only did I write letters to those who have hurt me but also to myself, to forgive myself for choices that I have made and mistakes I have made.
Who do you need to forgive? Could you do the same thing and burn your letters?
In Christ,
Lindsay
