The other day when I was hiking with my friend we talked about our fat suit's, a fat suit is something that we put on to protect ourselves. I've been wearing my fat suit for many years and always felt like especially when I was younger that if I had this layer of chubs on me that it would protect me from being hurt or abused, boy was I wrong. As I've gotten older I've continued to wear this fat suit to try to protect myself from being hurt and this is part of this journey of finding a new me, it's time to take this fat suit off forever. One of the things on my journey to finding a new me is my gym/ running time. Most of my goals fitness wise are just to be healthy, not to be a certain size or weigh a certain number. In the past I've had very unrealistic expectations for myself and then was never able to meet those goals so I gave up. Now my goals are around getting a PR, moving to a second level, and just being consistent and persistent and all that I do. What drives you? What are your goals for yourself and what is one thing you can do today to help yourself get to that goal. I encourage you to set weekly goals rather than these monthly or yearly goals. Make it something that you're going to do for seven days that will help you get to your goal whether that is reading a chapter a day of your book, drinking 100 ounces of water per day, or even just walking to work one day a week. I am super excited that I started a biggest loser workplace challenge and have. A great accountability partner.

Here is to the journey of finding a new me!
